Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistantships are awarded each fall semester for the academic year and are based on academic merit or the possession of competencies that permit the performance of specific services. The assistantship includes in-state tuition for the period of the assistantship or one-half of out-of-state tuition plus a monthly stipend for ten hours of work per week with a faculty or staff member in the College of Business. This assistantship is available to all graduate students in the on-campus programs; this does not include the Distance MBA Program or the Denver Executive MBA Program.

To be considered for a Graduate Assistantship, fill out the Graduate Assistantship Application. Questions regarding the Graduate Assistantship Program may be directed to Elisa Lilly at elisa.lilly@colostate.edu or via phone at 800 491-4622 extension 3.

Additional Financial Support Options

There are other financial aid options for graduate school students who are not awarded an assistantship or who are enrolled in the Distance MBA Program or the Denver Executive MBA Program. Please note: Students who apply for and are awarded aid through Federal Financial Aid must enroll in no less than five credits per semester to keep their aid award. Summer school is either two or four credits so is not eligible for Federal Financial Aid. Financial aid disbursements are made early in the semester.
