Graduate Programs > Assistantships

The deadline for graduate assistantship applications is May 1, 2008. Please submit your application and resume by that date.

Eligibility
The College of Business has a limited number of assistantships available. The graduate assistantship award is based on your residency classification and includes full in-state tuition or half out-of-state tuition and a stipend for the fall and spring semester, but not the summer term. Students work 10 hours per week with a faculty or administrator in the College of Business for the fall and spring semester.

Graduate Assistantships are awarded on a semester basis.  It is up to the supervisor to evaluate student performance and determine renewal of student contracts at the end of the fall semester. Students must maintain a 3.0 grade point average to maintain their assistantship.

To Apply
Interested students must apply for an assistantship, by submitting a completed Graduate Assistantship Application Form, along with a current resume to Elisa Lilly.

Award Notifications and Next Steps
Students will be notified by e-mail if they are selected for an assistantship. If the assistantship is accepted, the student must sign a contract with the department in which s/he will be working. The department will contact the student with information on where and when to sign the contract.

Please note that students must be accepted into either the MAcc (Masters of Accountancy),  MSBA-CIS, MSBA-GSSE or Professional MBA Program in the College of Business prior to being offered an assistantship. Students are encouraged to submit their assistantship application with their application to their program of choice.
